At the conference on October 26, 2006, on the topic of "Parental Responsibility," two exciting presentations were given, both by active judges.
The first presentation by Judge Jürgen Rudolph addressed the "Cochem Model." The speaker is one of the originators of this model, which has gained considerable attention in Germany and represents a completely new approach to the judiciary in matrimonial matters. The second presentation was given by Rolf Vetterli, a family court judge in St. Gallen, and recounts the history of the family courts in the Canton of St. Gallen. In his presentation, Rolf Vetterli explains how this pioneering concept could be implemented throughout Switzerland and urges the cantons to do so immediately.
