The Federal Council is instructed:
1. to examine how joint parental custody
    can be promoted in cases of parents who are not or no longer married to each other, and whether joint parental custody
    can be implemented as the norm;
2. to submit proposals to Parliament, if necessary, for a revision of the relevant provisions
    of the Swiss Civil Code .
