The Swiss Association for Shared Parenting presented its innovative draft law at a press conference today.

The aim is to make joint custody the norm for all children, whether born in or out of wedlock. The association no longer uses the term "parental custody" but instead employs the concept of "parental responsibility." This is intended to symbolize that it is not just about custody rights, but rather about taking responsibility for the child.

The Swiss Association for Shared Parenting comprises over 15 different fathers' and parents' organizations from all language regions of Switzerland. These include, besides the VeV, the Zurich team, the IGM Bern, and many other important organizations.

With this association and the presented draft legislation, the organizations have achieved a major success.
