From July 1, 2007, victims of violence will be better protected. The Federal Council put the new provisions in the Civil Code into force on this date. The principle “He who hits goes goes” now applies. In order to protect the victim, courts will now be able to order a violent person to leave the shared apartment and not to enter it again for a certain period of time.
