At the conference on October 26, 2006 on the topic of "Parental Responsibility" two exciting presentations were given, both by active judges.
The first presentation by Judge Jürgen Rudolph dealt with the “Cochem model”.
The speaker is one of the "fathers" of this model, which has now received much attention in Germany, in which the jurisdiction in matrimonial matters is breaking new ground. The second presentation was given by Rolf Vetterli, family judge at the court in St. Gallen, and tells the history of the origins of the family courts in the canton of St. Gallen.
In his presentation, Rolf Vetterli explains how it would be possible to implement this groundbreaking concept throughout Switzerland and calls on the cantons to do so immediately. This report can be found verbatim here.
