Jacqueline Steiner – VeV Separation Counselor, Aargau Region:
Those who continue to grow can also grow apart. This fact hurts, but it also opens up space for new beginnings. Anger, hatred, jealousy, disappointment, grief, pain, guilt, shame, and misunderstanding are the "rollercoaster" emotions that accompany the decision to separate.
Accepting, acknowledging, and letting go of feelings are part of the healing process. Financial matters, living arrangements, child visitation rights, and much more must be resolved together.
Continuing to be there for the children as parents, but no longer as a couple, initially presents a major challenge for everyone involved. To ensure the children are not burdened with lifelong trauma, their well-being is always paramount and takes top priority.
I would be happy to guide you through the “jumble” of emotions and through all legal, economic and practical questions.
"No one is to blame, it just doesn't fit (anymore).".
