Last Tuesday, June 11th, a panel discussion for experts organized by VeV took place in Oensingen in the VeBo gourmet workshop. The experts present on the podium, moderated by GeCoBi President Oliver Hunziker, discussed questions about the implementation of alternating custody, the prevention of alienation and the difficulties that experts face.

The following people sat on the podium:
Stefan Müller-Altermatt, National Councilor for the Center of Solothurn
Dominic Nellen, lawyer for family law, Bern
Monique Wahl, couple and GeCoBi separation advisor, Herzogenbuchsee
Daniela Bucher, estranged mother of 2 children
Brigitte Kissling, professional advisor, board member of the Solothurn Association of professional advisors

The main findings of the committed panel discussion were that the implementation of the existing laws is very difficult and that the interpretation of the laws is unfortunately still very broad and varied.
This leads to legal uncertainty for the families affected because the outcome of a procedure often depends on where it takes place. Everyone present repeatedly referred to the promising experimental setups in Bern, Basel and elsewhere.

The subsequent discussion with the audience was just as engaging; the voices of the parents concerned were clearly audible, but in a constructive manner.
