Good news for affected parents and children.

The National Council has a proposal by Philippe Nantermod.
If the Council of States follows this, more effective measures would be possible in the future in the event of a denial of visiting rights.

Unfortunately, contact between parents and their children breaks off far too often after a separation/divorce.
This is usually brought about by a parent, either through deliberate neglect of contact on the part of the parent with the right to visit, or also through the targeted refusal and sabotaging of visitation rights by the parent with the right to care. In both cases, the affected child primarily suffers from the loss of contact with the other parent. It is not uncommon for long-term consequences to occur. Such developments can often be prevented through consistent intervention at an early stage. However, there are currently no effective legal remedies for this, which is why the authorities often have to watch relatively helplessly as the alienation takes its course.

The topic of alienation has long been taboo and negated.
All the better that there is finally movement on the matter.
