Sandra is allowed to stay in Switzerland!
As it became known today, the higher court of the canton of Aargau has made a corresponding judgment.
The forced repatriation was rejected and Sandra is allowed to stay in Switzerland.
However, the judgment is not yet legally binding. The opposing party can now lodge an appeal with the Federal Court within 10 days. Sandra still has to tremble until then.
This is certainly a great relief for Sandra. The higher court recognized that the girl's wishes must be taken into account. A forced return against the express wish would not only have been legally questionable, but above all highly questionable on a human and personal level.
The current situation in the foster family in which Sandra lives is also described by those around her as not optimal. As has been heard, Sandra cannot go back to her father for the time being. It is hoped that Sandra will receive the necessary support and help to deal with the difficult situation at her current place of residence.
