Exactly 10 years ago, on February 11, 2011, the SchickEnStei launched. This was in response to the announcement by the then Minister of Justice, Simonetta Sommaruga, that the introduction of joint parental custody as the norm would be significantly delayed once again.
The associations united in the umbrella organization GeCoBi disagreed and decided to send a clear message.
The "SchickEnStei" campaign was extremely successful. Over 1500 paving stones were ordered for the Federal Councillor, each one individually and neatly packaged and accompanied by a personal letter.
On Valentine's Day, February 14, 2011, the first 400 bricks left our production facility, destined for the Federal Parliament Building.
On the same day, GeCoBi presented the demands of the associations at a press conference in Bern and announced vigils in front of the Federal Parliament Building to reinforce these demands.
On the same day, Federal Councillor Sommaruga met with the representatives of the organizations present and promised to quickly advance joint discussions on the topic.
