Sandra is allowed to stay in Switzerland!
As was announced today, the High Court of the Canton of Aargau has issued a corresponding ruling.
The forced deportation was rejected, and Sandra is allowed to remain in Switzerland.
The verdict is not yet legally binding. The opposing party has 10 days to appeal to the Federal Supreme Court. Sandra will have to wait anxiously until then.
This is certainly a great relief for Sandra. The High Court has recognized that the girl's wishes must be respected. A forced return against her express wishes would not only have been legally questionable, but above all, highly problematic from a human and personal perspective.
The current situation in Sandra's foster family is also described by those around her as less than ideal. It has been reported that Sandra cannot return to her father for the time being. It is hoped that Sandra will receive the necessary support and assistance to cope with this difficult situation in her current location.
